Underbites happen because there is a larger growth of the lower jaw compared to the upper jaw. Invisalign can help in developing plans to move the teeth and what additional techniques we can use to ensure we achieve a good outcome for you. Invisalign allows up to plan in detail the correct approach for you.
Teeth are often crowded, and cross bite is when teeth are sitting in the opposite direction. Like the upper front teeth are on the inside of the lower teeth. Invisalign is a nice gentle way of moving the teeth back into the correct position. Invisalign will apply the slow gentle forces to the predetermined position to produce a beautiful smile.,
Gapped teeth are annoying as they trap food and don't produce and aesthetic smile. Gapped teeth can develop over time as you grow older, or they can be something that you are born with. Invisalign will fix gapped teeth in a short space of time and produce a beautiful smile. Sometimes with gapped teeth you may need some bonding in order to make the teeth the right proportions. Invisalign has a number of features which will allow us to pretest and see what our end result will be.
Crowded teeth are the most common problem people come in with. Crowded teeth result in you not being able to clean your teeth well and hence more problems with decay and tartar build up. Apart from that the aesthetic aspects often can result in you not being as confident in yourself. Invisalign has the ability to move teeth in different directions at the same time. Invisalign is also hardly noticeable to that mean you can carry on your normal life without being more self-conscious as Invisalign treatment progress's.
Often our teeth are in the right place but just in the wrong direction or angulation which can result in the smile not looking straight. Invisalign is a great way to correct this problem and achieve a straighter healthier looking smile.
Open bites can be either in the front or the back teeth. Invisalign is really good at closing anterior open bites. Posterior ones can be a bit harder, however the gentle sustained forces of Invisalign will gradually bring the teeth together

You should be given a series of Invisalign aligners. Each aligner should be worn for 22 hours a day. The days of wear can vary from 5 to 14 days. On average, you will change them once every 7 days.
You can eat anything you wish, provided you take your Invisalign aligners out when you eat. The important rule is to clean your teeth thoroughly before you put your aligners back in. Please note that because you will most likely have attachments ( buttons) on your teeth, food will tend to stick around those areas. Make sure you use a soft brush to clean around the buttons before you put your Invisalign aligners back on
The recommendation is not to drink hot or cold fluids with your aligners on because the temperature can cause a deformation to occur in the aligners. Also, there is the possibility of developing stains around your aligners and teeth. Cool room-temperature water is safe to drink with your aligners on.
As discussed before, you should not drink alcohol with your Invisalign aligners in because the aligners will trap the alcohol, which contains sugar, on your teeth, potentially causing minerals to be lost and thus leading to possible decay.
We don’t encourage smoking or vaping while wearing aligners because it’s possible for them to become discolored. Also, this activity has a bad effect on your overall health
Chewing with your Invisalign aligners will cause deformation of the specially designed plastic, making the aligners less effective. In turn, this will lengthen your time in the aligners as your teeth will not move as effectively as programmed. We, therefore, do not recommend any form of chewing with the aligners, including gum chewing.
Invisalign aligners are designed to be form-fitting around the teeth, and various buttons on the teeth lock them on to achieve more effective movement. You will often struggle to get them out until you develop a specific set of movements to dislodge them. If you do note that they have come out regularly, get in touch with your dentist, who can then work out what the issue is.
Normally, your speech sounds come from the movement of your tongue against the upper palate. The aligners do not encroach on this area, so technically, they should not affect your speech. Having aligners in your mouth initially feels very foreign, so you may notice some minor speech changes while your body works out that having aligners in your mouth is a normal part of your everyday routine. If you continue to have problems for any reason after a week, you should talk to your Invisalign provider and get some advice.
